HSJ Partnership Award Win for Doc Abode!

Recently, we shared the fantastic news that the partnership between Doc Abode, Local Care Direct and the Yorkshire and Humber Academic Health and Science Network had been shortlisted at the HSJ Partnership Awards.

On 20th March at The Park Plaza, Westminster, we found out that we were WINNERS of the ‘Workforce Innovation Award’ for improving workforce capacity and patient outcomes in urgent care through digital innovation.

On the night, the room was filled with 700 healthcare professionals from a range of industries including pharmaceutical, consultancy, recruitment, procurement, technology, legal, clinical and private providers. They all came together for one evening to celebrate and learn about the projects helping the NHS deliver better services.

HSJ editor and awards host Alastair McLellan said “Partnership working is essential to the continued smooth operation of the NHS, and the sustainable delivery of world class healthcare. Thousands of organisations provide critical services and support every day that assist healthcare professionals, their innovation leading to improvements in service provision despite ever-tightening budgets. Congratulations to all of the winners and finalists, our expert panel of judges faced a tough decision selecting from among hundreds of high calibre entries.”

A big congratulations to the other 15 winners and 6 highly commended organisations for their hard work and commitment to implementing change that’s transforming healthcare within the UK.
