Reflecting on Doc Abode’s recent achievements, James said: “The last couple of years has been a challenging time for many but being able to support the Covid-19 response with our technology has been incredibly rewarding. We have worked closely with NHS Trusts and PCNs to successfully streamline their vaccination programmes using the Doc Abode platform; taking them through a rapid co-design process that helped us understand the operational challenges to deliver something that provides immediate support.”

James is supported by a team of developers including recently appointed graduate Bowen Zhang. Bowen is one of the first junior members to join the team, marking the initial stage of investment Doc Abode is making towards identifying and developing the next generation of talent. The technical team are also supported by project managers, business analysts and Quality Assurance specialist product testers. This ensures we are able to maintain an agile approach to software development and fully understand our customer’s needs, creating the best possible solution to problem fit in the NHS.

When it comes to quality management, Doc Abode’s technical team are driven by the need to meet the NHS’s rigorous information governance and clinical safety standards. By employing agile methodologies, the technical team are focused on iterative development processes which add incremental value to the platform. Unlike other legacy workforce management software, Doc Abode’s technical team deliver user experiences that help NHS organisations manage both traditional work patterns alongside new, more flexible ways of working through on-demand clinician deployment and artificially intelligent clinician to patient matching algorithms.
