Last week Doc Abode, along with key national leads and the four Northern AHSNs, hosted a live webinar where we advised how Doc Abode can support healthcare provider responses to the emerging COVID-19 situation.
Dame Barbara Hakin opened the webinar, followed by Bob Ricketts CBE. Then Dr Phil Jennings, Deputy Chief Executive and Medical Director at the Innovation Agency, spoke about how AHSN’s have changed their approach in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Following this, Dr Taz Aldawoud, founder and CEO of Doc Abode discussed how the digital innovation and new way of working that Doc Abode facilitates can go on to deliver additional workforce capacity during the COVID-19 pandemic especially. Dr Aldawoud then went on to talk about both clinician and patient safety and wellbeing which is more important now than ever, and paramount for Doc Abode, which is why new features have been created in the app to support this.
Liam Mahon, Head of Business Transformation at FCMS then went on to share how they have had a successful implementation of Doc Abode in their out of hours service in the North West.
Finally, there was a question and answer session, where there were important questions surrounding the implementation, longevity and flexible working that Doc Abode can provide.
